Where Is the Perfect Place to Get Some Golf Practice? At Home of Course

If you want to improve your golf and lower your card, the only way is practice, practice, practice. And that can get very difficult to do when get home from work and have to head off to the club or down to the practice range. So the only way to get the amount of time handling a club and improving your swing is in your own garden or recreation room mashing those balls into a golf practice net.

Of course, not everyone has a garden large enough to take a full size golf practice cage and very few have an indoor room high enough for a full blooded swing with a distance club but indoor golf practice will certainly improve your game. Therefore you need to consider carefully the different types of indoor golf nets on the market.

With a practice mat to protect your carpet, there are quite a number of nets that will allow you to get nicely into the rhythm required for pitching. Pitching is one area where most weekend golfers don’t spend enough practice time. Go for the big club and get lots of distance is the most practiced part of the recreational golfer and that shows up when they get to a few yards short of the green.

But who can blame them.

There is something very satisfying about trying to knock the cover off the ball after a frustrating week at the office or any other workplace. But of an evening, after kid’s bed time or when there is absolutely nothing worth watching on the TV, half an hour of pitching into a golf chipping net can be extremely relaxing and finally rewarding.

A good pitching net with well weighted lower edge cord or fixed rail can be set up in minutes and the feeling of being out on the course will soon take the tightness out of neck and shoulders. Two therapies for the price of one; better golf at the weekend and the days mental and physical tension removed.

If you have the luxury of a lawn out the back, then a large strongly corded golf driving net will be a great way to end the day. Just make sure that it’s well secured and don’t get so far back from the net that a badly struck ball is going to sail over the neighbors’ fence. Stay up close enough in case that club heel gets one away and the errant ball stays inside the net curtain. Once again, you’ll need a Golf Mats in order not to end up with a large, wide divot.

If you’re a good enough golfer to continually hit the ball with the same stroke and continually place the ball into the same area of the net, some wear will occur from ball friction and eventually the net will become unsafe. Probably when you least expect it such as when your neighbor is out washing his or her car. Every now and then move the mat and hit off center into the net. Ultraviolet sun rays will also reduce the strength of the nylon cord over time even though most nets these days are made from UV protected cable.

So, even though golf can be maddening and frustrating, take as much time as you can squeeze, and start thrashing away into a golf training net. Because it will make the weekend game, when you actually get out onto a real course, much more rewarding and warmly satisfying with your improved long and short game.
